I had been visiting the Isle of Coll, in the inner Hebrides, for well over 30 years and recently moved to the island, having retired from my job as a college lecturer in art & design.
Over the years, like most visitors, I have been captivated with the island's visual charms, the rugged landscape and the beautiful unspoiled beaches offering stunning, panoramic vistas of the surrounding Western Isles.
As evidenced from my gallery of artwork, I have adopted a variety of different media when
attempting to capture and reflect the essence of this special place. Sometimes aiming to be representative and topographical and on other occasions being less literal and more imaginative in my visual translations of this stimulating environment.
